The Shops at Kukui`ula welcome the Kaua’i Marathon on Labor Day weekend with celebratory events, award-winning dining, contemporary art galleries, and dozens of unique shops and boutiques.
Visit the Kauai Culinary Market on Wednesday, August 31st from 3:30pm to 6:00pm to stock up on fresh local veggies and seasonal fruits by Kauai farmers while sampling artisanal products and savoring local treats, all in an outdoor “pau hana” environment with live Hawaiian music. Don’t miss the Culinary demonstration by Living Foods Gourmet Market, Juice Bar & Cafe at 5:00pm and stay for a special Fashion Show following the market at 6:30pm featuring end of summer fashion by over ten Hawaii retailers – a “Marathon of Fashion”.
Friday night September 2nd from 5:30pm to 8:30pm experience Flavors at Kukui’ula presenting “Rumba de Fuego Kauai” as the featured headliner for an evening of culinary treats served up “street food” style, shopping specials, outdoor beer & wine gardens and live entertainment in a beautiful outdoor shopping center. This event is known for great live music in a festive outdoor setting while savoring cuisine by several of Kauai’s finest chefs in one evening, served up on small plates for purchase. Latin sensation “Rumba de Fuego” sets the rhythm for a fun night out, and is complemented by Iris Downey on her Kauai comeback tour, Falling Down Romance and more great local music. This year’s participants include Merriman’s Fish House, Eating House 1849, Tortilla Republic, Living Foods Gourmet Market& Café, Dolphin Sushi Lounge & Fish Market, Lappert’s Hawai’i, Savage Shrimp, and Uncle’s Shave Ice. This is also an opportunity to explore fine shops, galleries and boutiques with one night only specials and opportunities to meet local artists and discover the latest summer fashion finds.
