Jeff and Liz Sacchini, The Kauai Marathon and Half Marathon race founders, had a vision to establish a world-class marathon on the island that would give back to the community with a portion of net proceeds going to Kauai’ s charities. They established the event in 2009 and to date have given over $280,000 to island non-profit groups and charities.
