On an island full of natural beauty, a “must-do” activity involves taking a boat tour along Kauai’s Napali Coast. There are a variety of options, depending on your choice of experience; there are large catamarans, small boats, even inflatable rafts, and for those adventurous types, there are kayak tours during summer months. The early morning snorkel tours often have dolphin sightings and the afternoon tours are great for those spectacular sunsets.
Everyone should take the time to see the emerald green cathedral cliffs of the Napali from the ocean, it is truly breathtaking. Some of the views may look familiar, with Honopu Arch recently being featured in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”.
The Napali Coast has always been sacred to the Hawaiian people and in fact, back in ancient times, used to have hundreds of Native Hawaiians living full time in this area.
On those days when you might be lucky enough to catch a rainbow against the Napali Coast, you take a deep breath and exhale with the gratitude of seeing Kauai’s natural wonders.
[Please note: The Napali Coast is a State Park and no drones are allowed in any Hawaii State Park.]For more information on Kauai – go to www.kauaidiscovery.com
